“You help us, we help you.”
Urdboh motioned for them to follow him to the back room.
Urdboh is a Goblin Bartender who assists the party. He has information about an uprising that the party needs.
You may have noticed that I capitalized on the races of Vara Elma and the Classes and Jobs. I’m not entirely sure where I got this from, but I think it was while reading Winnie-the-Pooh to my son that I noticed the Interesting Capitalization Milne used in the book. I think of it as a way to respect the various Vocations in the story. The Hero isn’t that different from a Maid, after all.
This kind of inspiration is, I suppose, how we writers develop our voices over time, but we are generally a hodgepodge of everything that we consume. And while I am finding that I do not read as many books as other authors I am talking to, I have other things I consume that make my writing mine. And that leads to things like naming your characters after food.
Toshie the Hero and the Orbs of Destiny is available now!
Books 2 and 3 will be released in 2025.
